This is a forum to share listening experiences either concert experiences or everyday listening experiences. The challenge is to describe what was heard and how it was heard. This encourages you to engage with your own act of listening. Thoughts might include was a sound apprehended with just your ears, your imagination, your eyes, your sense of smell, your body, through movement or a combination? Was it heard or listened to? What did you feel and think?
The rest of the area is for the contribution of different disciplines such as auditory perception, philosophy, psychology, psychoacoustics, musicology and music writing. This is for discussion of insights from these discaplines and and discussion of relevant papers of interest. If you are studying in any of these fields please feel free to contribute your ideas and findings or more importantly your questions.
